DUNE RIDGE

2019

Loudspeaker of the Dune Ridge Installation

Dune Ridge is a 16-channel sound installation. During a walk on the highest dune of the Gobi desert in Mongolia, the Khongoryn Els, foot steps were recorded in the sand. The sound of footsteps wanders from one speaker to the other hanging overhead. The visitor follows a "ghostly" person on the accompanying carpet. The sound in the desert sounds through the silence extremely loud and coming from above.
